The following are the top five items regarding planning an agile SharePoint product:
1. Define the product vision and goals - know what you're going to do with SharePoint. Be it collaboration, document management or workflow automation, etc.
2. Build and prioritize the product backlog - build the needed aspects for the backlog regarding what is to be built.
3. Plan iterations and sprints - break down the work into sprints in 2 to 4 weeks of duration.
4. Collaborate and visualize work - use a Kanban board to visualize work for tracking purposes.
5. Review, adapt, and deliver value - utilize sprint reviews and retrospectives to gather feedback and improve processes.
